Refining technology

Our solutions in the field of refining technology extend from standardized systems to tailored plants for the realization of individual customer requirements.

We have references for various different process plants, such as for crude oil, vacuum distillation, hydrorefining, reforming, isomerization, sulfur recovery, desulfurization (demercaptanization), refining of mineral waste oils and the inclusion of sustainable technologies on the basis of regenerative energies and raw materials.

Petrochemicals

Petrochemical process plants are a key element of our activities in the hydrocarbon technologies business field. Working in co-operation with well-known licensors or on the basis of customers’ own technologies, CAC has realized a broad range of diverse projects. The process and engineering expertise within our company enable us to cover all phases of a project: from the drafting of concept studies to planning , delivery and assembly of turnkey plants.

Natural gas processing

In addition, CAC also works with analysis and studies regarding the compatibility of hydrogen with existing storage facilities. This covers all stages of processing, from natural gas refining and natural gas storage (above ground) up to natural gas compressor stations.

Natural gas refining

For over 50 years we have been planning and supplying plants for the refining of natural gas and associated gas. The focus here lies upon the process stages of separation of higher hydrocarbons with adjustment of dew point, gas drying, desulfurization by means of various procedures and refining of the so-called gas condensate into individual fractions (propane, butane, C5+). The refining/extraction of liquid gas in particular is tailored fully to your requirements. The desulfurization process chain can be augmented via demercaptanization and sulfur recovery plants. In this, we offer standardized solutions with the best-possible variants for your specific situation.

Natural gas storage

In the area of natural gas storage CAC assumes responsibility for the planning and realization of above-ground facilities. This includes all plant units in the main gas stream as well as the associated auxiliary units including compressor units. Within the context of renewable energies and their utilization and storage the focus is increasingly upon natural gas storage facilities, in which hydrogen could also be stored. Our many years of expertise make us predestined to find swift and effective solutions.
